ABOUT KPAC
Our Story
Kimberley Performing Arts Centre was opened in 1983 with just 6 pupils, since then we have grown to over 400.
Many of our pupils have followed successful careers in the Performing Arts Industry either in performing, choreographing or teaching including Londons West End, overseas or on cruises abroad.
Whether or not Performing Arts becomes their chosen career, all students leave the school having created many friendships and gained wonderful memories.
Our timetable enables both adults and children to take part in a wide range of classes, broader than anywhere else in the area, alongside additional extra workshops led by professionals at the top of their field.
Our Values – K.P.A.C
Our values guide every programme we deliver and every partnership we build.
K – Keep People Moving
We believe movement should be lifelong. From early years through to older adulthood, we create opportunities that encourage people to stay active in ways that feel enjoyable, achievable, and sustainable.
P – Purpose Beyond Performance
While we value high-quality training and artistic excellence, we place equal importance on confidence, wellbeing, and personal growth. What happens off the stage matters just as much as what happens on it.
A – Accessible for All
Inclusion and equity are embedded across everything we do. Through SEN-inclusive practice, outreach delivery in schools, and supportive learning environments, we work to remove barriers and widen access to movement and the performing arts.
C – Community at Our Core
We are more than a venue — we are a community hub. We bring people together, reduce isolation, strengthen community pride, and create spaces where individuals feel supported, valued, and connected.
More Than a Dance School
K.P.A.C is defined by impact, not just classes.
Alongside our studio-based training for children and young people, we deliver adult wellbeing and fitness programmes that provide welcoming alternatives to traditional gym environments. We also offer advanced and Ex-Pro pathways for experienced dancers who wish to reconnect with high-quality training beyond youth provision.
In addition, our outreach work in mainstream and SEN schools allows us to extend our impact beyond the studio, supporting physical activity, confidence, emotional regulation, and inclusion for children and young people who may face barriers to participation.
This holistic approach enables us to bridge education, health, wellbeing, and the arts — ensuring movement remains accessible, meaningful, and part of people’s lives at every stage.
Our Vision
We aim to grow as a region-leading performing arts, wellbeing, and community development hub that transforms lives, strengthens community pride, and reduces inequalities.
Through inclusive delivery, strong partnerships, and clear progression pathways, K.P.A.C seeks to widen access to creative and physical activity and champion opportunities for children, young people, and adults — including those with barriers to participation.
Our Commitment
As a socially driven organisation, K.P.A.C is committed to placing people before profit. We continually strive to deliver high-quality, inclusive programmes that respond to community need, support wellbeing, and create lasting positive impact.
Whether you are joining us as a participant, parent, partner, or supporter, you are part of a community that believes movement can change lives.
